Enjoy Our Park and Beach: A guide to Village regulations.
Our park and public beach is a wonderful place for the community to enjoy. To ensure these areas remain safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone, please familiarize yourself with the following Village of North Bay regulations.
Keeping Our Spaces Beautiful and Safe
We ask all visitors to help maintain our natural environment:
- Respect the Land: Please do not deface, injure, or remove any plants, trees, rocks, or park property.
- Respect the Wildlife: Interfering wildlife is also prohibited.
- Keep It Clean: Please leave no trace behind by practicing a "Carry In, Carry Out" policy to keep our park pristine. Littering is strictly forbidden. Also, help us preserve our waterways by keeping foreign substances out of the lake and creek.
- Preserve the Shoreline: To protect our local ecosystem, removing stone, gravel, sand, or earth from the lake bed or waterways is strictly prohibited.
Safety and Conduct Guidelines
To maintain a peaceful and secure environment, please observe these rules:
- Hours of Operation: The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
- Swim at Your Own Risk: No lifeguard on duty.
- Vehicles: The speed limit is 20 MPH on Village roads. Please stay on established roads and park only in designated areas.
- Conduct: We maintain a family-friendly atmosphere. Disorderly conduct, including the use of loud, violent, or obscene language, is not permitted.
- Leash Law & Dog Waste Removal: Dog owners are required to keep their pets leashed and under direct control at all times when off their own property, including on public land, roads, beaches, and parks. Dog owners or handlers are also required to immediately remove and properly dispose of all fecal matter or other dog waste.
- Alcohol & Prohibited Items: Possession or consumption of intoxicating beverages (including beer and wine) is prohibited.
- Firearms or Weapons Prohibited: For the safety of all visitors, firearms and dangerous weapons are prohibited.
- Fireworks are Prohibited: This includes sparklers, are also not allowed on park or beach grounds.
- Fires Prohibited: Fires on public beaches or public land is prohibited.
Enforcement
We appreciate your cooperation in following these rules. Please be aware that violations may result in a request to leave the premises by authorized personnel and potential citations.
