President

Key Duties: 

• Serve as a trustee by virtue of office, preside at all board meetings, and have a vote as a trustee.
• Sign all ordinances, rules, bylaws, regulations, commissions, licenses, and permits adopted or authorized by the board.
• Sign all orders drawn on the treasury, except as provided by s. 66.042 Wis. Stats.
• Maintain peace and good order, ensuring that village ordinances are faithfully obeyed.
• Possess all other powers conferred on a village president by Wisconsin Statutes.

Additional roles: 

• Chairman of Emergency Government
• Chairman of the Planning Commission
• Chairman of the Village Caucus (unless on the ballot)
• Zoning Administrator
• Member of the Board of Review
